DE Mit der Veranstaltungsreihe Cinema Total öffnet das Collegium Hungaricum Berlin (.CHB) im Februar 2013 bereits im sechsten Jahr seine Pforten für Filmschaffende. Im Laufe der Entwicklung seit dem Gründungsjahr 2008 hat Cinema Total den Ruf als eine der interessantesten Begleitveranstaltungen zur Zeit der Berlinale errungen. Grundlegendes Ziel von Cinema Total ist es, die Wahrnehmung der mittel- und osteuropäischen Filmbranche im Kontext der Berlinale, einem der wichtigsten Schauplätze der Filmbranche Europas, zu sichern.
Gleichzeitig bietet Cinema Total eine Kommunikations- und Networking-Plattform, die als Treffpunkt für ost- und westeuropäische Filmschaffende, Vertreter verschiedener Filmstrukturfonds, Repräsentanten der Film- und Kreativindustrie sowie europäische Politiker aus relevanten Bereichen dient.

Die sechste Ausgabe von Cinema Total im Jahr 2013 trägt den Titel Europa endlos. Über die allgemeine Zielsetzung hinaus – die Positionierung der mittel- und osteuropäischen Filmbranche zur Zeit der Berlinale – wagt Cinema Total den ambitionierten Schritt in Richtung einer größeren europäischen Perspektive, die nicht an geografisch-politischen Grenzen endet: Eurasien – im Sinne eines größeren Kontinents. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird dabei auf die Kooperationsmöglichkeiten zwischen Russland und Europa sowie die neustrukturierte russische Filmindustrie gelegt.

A programme for film professionals during the Berlin International Film Festival

ENG Welcome to Cinema Total 6, a series of events for filmmakers, producers,  cultural politicians, and cineasts from all over the world.Taking place for the sixth time at the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin (.CHB), Cinema Total explores the theme of an endless Europe by looking into the Russian film industry, at the same time retaining it's focus on the Central and Eastern European region. The goal of this specialised programme is to stimulate the cooperation of the film industries of Central and Eastern Europe, reflecting all aspects of the industry from funding to distribution.

After the Opening Party on Saturday, the official programme begins with the Sunday Filmpolitical Roundtable, exploring the Russian film industry. The recently established European Women’s Audiovisual Network will hold a reception on Monday. On Tuesday, the follow-up event to last year's SEEKING ROMA FILMMAKERS* will take place under the title Cineromani and Mongolian film professionals will share their experience at the Berlinale with us at the Film Talk. The final day of Cinema Total, Wednesday is dedicated to our alternative pitch event, Pitch Stop, followed by a networking event, Cottbus Lounge and the After Party.

DE Der zentrale Treffpunkt während Cinema Total ist die Infinity Lounge, die durch künstlerische Installationen und einen Hauch Illusionismus besticht. Unsere Interpretation eines endlosen Europa im Herzen von Berlin. Geöffnet jeden Tag ab 10 Uhr, mit Barservice jeweils ab 1h vor bis 1h nach Veranstaltungsbeginn (ansonsten Barservice im Café ab 10 Uhr).

Das Video basiert auf Aufnahmen aus der Bukarester Wohnsiedlung Rahova, einem typischen Beispiel der abschließenden Veränderungen der Plattenbauarchitektur des urbanen Konzeptes, wie es im Übergang der 50er zu den 60er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts definiert wurde. Trotz ihrer faszinierenden Patina ist die Siedlung heute ein konsolidiertes und prosperierendes urbanes Ensemble.

The video installation is based on pictures of a housing estate in Bucharest called Rahova, a typical example of the urban planning in the 50s and 60s.
